Every work of architecture begins its life with an agenda. We believe it is critical to recognize the truth that many architects hesitate to admit, which is: very few projects reflect solely the architect's agenda in the end. To produce anything truly custom and lasting, we need the collaborative input of the owner, builder, interior designer, landscape architect, lighting designer, trim carpenter, stone mason, and the entirety of every effort from all others touching the project who believe in the craft just as deeply as the architect.
Conceived as a shared resource among surrounding properties in an urban infill context, this Amenities Park serves as a community focal point year-round. A simple pavilion structure houses a small sales office, community living room, and cabana bath in addition to vertical streetfront presence and branding via bold color and neon signage. Pool and outdoor patio areas beyond provide gathering spaces of multiple scales. The Mondara is a 35-unit luxury home community on Abbott Avenue between Knox Street and Armstrong Parkway in Highland Park, Texas.
