All of our talented craftsmen will keep their jobs and will continue the same high quality work! Both of us will work part-time thru 2020 to help the transition and we'll keep the lumberyard. The Armisteads bring many skills, new energy and ideas. Already, they've transformed the showroom into a gallery and updated the website, as well as learning our woodworking techniques. We know the woodworking shop is in good hands and Phoenix Hardwoods will thrive! Thanks to our loyal customers over the years, we couldn't have done this without you and we're happy to continue to offer you beautiful work created from local hardwoods!
In the late Fall of 1987, Annie and I were married and found ourselves living in Check in an old farmhouse that had definitely seen better days. Somehow, we survived that winter and a few more in that old house with the help of our wonderful and generous neighbors. Bill Graefe was one of those generous neighbors that came to our aid on many occasions during renovations on that old house. We traded talents over the years from standing seam roofing to woodworking. I have considered him a friend ever since.
Everyone needs a little Osage š in their life ...
