Founded in 1980, JSA Design is a 30-person architecture and interior design firm committed to professional growth and a healthy, sustainable workplace. We're small enough that you won't be pigeonholed, big enough that our projects compete with national firms. JSA architectural specialties include healthcare, senior living, higher education, hospitality and housing. Current projects include senior living, multi-family housing, sports facilities, historic renovation and higher education. JSA is an active partner in the Portsmouth / Seacoast NH community.
As architects, we are keenly aware of the built environment that we experience every day. Universal design and accessibility play a big part in allowing all people to fully experience that built environment. In 2017, JSA began an initiative dubbed Access Portsmouth, a directory of reliable accessibility information for restaurants and attractions in Portsmouth, NH, allowing people impacted by disabilities to plan ahead for their visit to our home city. It became JSA's vehicle for corporate social responsibility engagement in our region.
A graduate of Cornell University's architecture program, Tracy has managed award-winning healthcare, education and senior living projects with specific focus on historic renovation and sustainability. Her technical proficiency, attention to detail and diligence earn her the confidence of clients and respect of colleagues. Tracy combines this competence with a keen design sensibility to create balanced and beautiful designs. She currently contributes her leadership, vision and commitment to sustainability as a board member of AIA New Hampshire and a member of the AIA New Hampshire Environmental Guild.

The leader of the Healthcare Studio, Todd has been integral in establishing JSA's reputation for innovative programming, design sensitivity, and client service. Since coming to JSA in 1987, Todd has directed a multitude of healthcare projects ranging from comprehensive master plans to new psychiatric hospitals to community health clinics. He is passionate about developing therapeutic environments that support the physical & emotional needs of all users. Active on numerous community service boards and professional committees, he chaired the Healthcare Facilities Committee for the Boston Society of Architects.
Sandra's passion for creating healing environments is evident in the award winning projects she has produced at JSA. Her years of experience in interior design for healthcare, hospitality, and senior living contributes to her deep understanding of patients, staff and their daily challenges. Sandra provides great value through careful planning and sensitivity to balancing initial costs against long-term operational value.
