The only way to truly clean off all the moss, lichen and fungus is to pressure wash. However, pressure washing damages your roof. Dr. Roof gently removes the larger clumps of moss by brushing them off and air cleaning the roof and gutters. Then, after treating the roof, the rain gradually cleans off the remaining moss, lichen and fungus. A slower process but good for the roof. For an additional cost, we can spend more time cleaning the roof, but it is better for the roof to let the rain do as much of the cleaning as possible.
Wow! What a week! Thanks to the ice storm, Dr. Roof is now MORE than two months out with work! Please forgive us. We're trying to get as much done as we can (and still stay sane).
Thanks to the weather, we've been seeing and repairing numerous leaks. Here's a classic from a couple days ago. There's no proper kickout flashing to direct water into the gutter, which leaves an open space in the siding. Water has been getting behind the siding into the wall for some time now....
Ok, I understand needing to stop a leak, but how about roofing it correctly to begin with? Besides, I think this roof has seen better days
Well... all good things must come to an end. Alice is leaving Dr. Roof and heading to snowier pasture in Michigan. Where her grand kids are. We'll miss you Alice!
Well, we've all survived another week of isolation! I hope you are doing well. We're still getting the roof leaks taken care of in these weird days, so give us a call if you have roofing needs.
