The first thing to do is to decide exactly what it is about your present kitchen that you really like, and what about it you do not like. Then make a list of questions such as the following: Do you have enough counter space? How about storage capacity? Is your food preparation area large enough? Is everything you need convenient, or do you have to keep going back and forth across the kitchen to complete each task? Lighting needs? Flooring? Countertop choices such as Granite, Quartz, Corian or Laminate?

Are you happy with your kitchen layout but not the appearance? Then give your kitchen a completely new and updated look. You can get a completely new look by keeping your existing cabinet framework as a base and changing only what is seen. There is no need to completely tear out your well constructed cabinet frames to change the exterior appearance of your cabinets. See before and after photos on our photo gallery to help you visualize the amazing difference cabinet resurfacing can make in changing the appearance of your old and outdated kitchen cabinets.

The fireplace can be the focal point of any home. Why not make it spectacular. We can revamp your existing fireplace or add a new fireplace to a room. Whether you just want a new mantle or a complete entertainment center built in around your fireplace, we can come up with a design that will compliment and add value to your home.

Custom wood or trim work can really change the look of a room without a major overhaul. Adding a built up crown molding or a wainscoting can dramatically change the look of your room. We can add an entertainment center or custom cabinets for a home office. We have a lot of experience in providing this service and can design a beautiful finish product for you.

Enjoy the outdoors. We can design a custom porch, deck or patio room addition using materials that match the look of a classic upstate home, without using pre-packaged metal or vinyl rooms. This is a great way to enjoy your warm weather season. There is certainly alot of confusion regarding deck products and manufacturer claims. Composit decking has been around since the early 90's and were made from polyethylene resin from recycled materials and wood fillers. Many shortcomings were evident such as staining, mold and product swelling to name a few.

Looking for additional space? One of the most economical ways to add livable space in your house is the refinishing of your basement. Looking for space for a theater room? How about that extra kitchen for canning? Or a play area for the kids? How about a game room? All of this can be accomplished in your basement. We can design a space for you, add windows for egress and natural light or a custom entertainment center. In addition we can address any moisture issues your basement may have.

At High Point, we build top-quality, Energy Star compliant custom homes. Our workmanship is impeccable, and the value is second to none. This is your home and we will guide you every step of the building process and will not charge exorbitant change order fees when you make changes along the way.

Our new master bath is fantastic! Jim and his crew did an amazing job! It was our first time gutting a room, and I would not hesitate to use High Point Construction & Renovation to do it again. I very highly recommend using them!

We have used High Point Construction for several projects and have always been very happy. Jim goes he extra mile to be sure the end results are perfect. He addresses any concerns right away and shows up when he says he will. Jim and his team are relaxed and easy to work with. We would highly recommend them for any project.

We initially hired Jim to remodel our kitchen. Because we were so pleased with his work, we hired him to do several other jobs including a complete master bath remodel, two fireplaces with mantels, built-in shelves and cabinets, refacing bathroom cabinets, and building a deck. In addition to being pleased with the high quality of his work, we especially appreciate Jim's attention to detail and his willingness to deal with any problems that arise quickly and professionally. All of Jim's employees and sub-contractors have been friendly and courteous. We would not hesitate to hire Jim for additional remodeling projects.

What's new?

Our customers are the best form of advertising we can obtain. We could not hire a better sales person than a satisfied customer. Who would be more appropriate than someone who has no financial incentive to promote our good name after having a positive experience with us. Having said that, we would.

More of my clients are choosing to stay in their homes and adding on a first floor master suite instead of moving. I can show you how this is a more affordable and better option for the long term.

This a project we recently completed. As you can see we were able to restore this kitchen without a major gut or replacing the counter tops. We replaced the closet with a custom built pantry, also added a spice cabinet and a base cabinet on to the island. New decorative door panel on the cabinet.

This was a recent fun project. The changes we made to this bath were dramatic to say the least. Making sure the natural light was maximized with the design building a new steam shower with heavy glass allowed the natural light to flow throughout the room. Shrinking the soaking tub and sectioning.
