The Village Market Place Food Hub consists of South LA's first "Beyond Organic" produce market, The Village Market Place Store, the SoulFul Caf, a commercial kitchen, and a developing urban farm. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) offers a wide variety of programs that help residents conserve water and energy& SAVE MONEY!CSU's Green Savings Programwill help you identify rebates you're eligible for, and can help you through the application process. We have many events and volunteer opportunities throughout the month.

This is a working farm, children younger than 16 must come with parents/guardian who are responsible for and will supervise them at ALL times. Volunteer time at the EXPO Mini-Farm may include all manner of farming related activities; everything from harvesting plants and seeds, moving compost and mulch, digging up weeds and grasses, cutting back overgrown plants, to clearing and bagging up trash. Exactly what you do, depends on the needs of the farm at the time you volunteer. Farming tools and gloves are available at the farm, if you have a pair of gloves you particularly like, feel free to bring them.
