I was so inspired by Dr. McAfee keynote speech at the forum "Coming Together for Our Youth" in Aspen. Big take-a-way for me, "it is time to have the courage to respectfully engage in conversations that are uncomfortable. To hold ourselves accountable for our action or lack there of!" Find your voice, tap into that place within that makes you uncomfortable and dig into it, this is where true power lies.
I went to the PolicyLink conference in 2008 in New Orleans and witnessed a high-quality multicultural movement of people from all over the country, all focused on important and passionate discussions and actions related to social, economic, and environmental justice, through equity and creating a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world. Truly inspiring, uplifting and motivating!
We have to continue the conversation regarding inclusion in America
As the country begins to reopen, we must prioritize vaccinations for Black, Latinx, and Indigenous seniors and people who live in crowded or multigeneration al housing; rely on public transit; or send their children to under-resourced , poorly ventilated public schools.
