I purchased a new Rheem hot water heater and installation from Home Depot a year ago. After the Home Depot installer installed it, there was no hot water. After many phone calls, they had to return, uninstall the defective hot water heater and install another one. The second hot water heater had the same issue and was determined to be defective. Once again, Home Depot had to uninstall and install a 3rd hot water heater. The third hot water heater was also defective. I had to call another company to come out and install a 4th hot water heater. Meanwhile, I was out the money paid for the final installation. Rheem promised to reimburse me with the receipt, but I have never received the reimbursement. During the ordeal, I was also without hot water for over a month. This current hot water heater does not work well. Rheem and the technician told me that they do not recommend running more than 1 appliance at a time. In other words, do not take a shower while the dishwasher is running or do not run the washing machine and dishwasher at the same time. They also told me that Rheem recommends that showers be limited to no more than 2 minutes. They also stated that a shower should only be taken once a week with the new energy efficient Rheem hot water heaters. They advised against using a bath tub for baths.
