Harry Chapin Food Bank works with more than 150 Southwest Florida food-relief agencies to serve children, working-poor families, seniors and other individuals at risk of going hungry. Harry Chapin Food Bank works with more than 150 partner agencies in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades and Hendry counties. These partner agencies operate food pantries, soup kitchens, programs for children, seniors, veterans, homeless shelters and others. With the help of our partner agencies, we're able to provide fresh, nutritious food and other essentials to roughly a quarter of a million people per month at risk of hunger.
Last March, we could never have imagined that the number of people who need food from your food bank would grow from 28,000 each week to over a quarter of a million people each month.
If you are in need of food, please visit one of our drive-thru distributions. Our volunteers will ensure that you drive away with a trunk full of fresh produce and a kit full of shelf-stable foods. Our schedule for the week of March 8, 2021:
