Interest rates on 30-year mortgage loans with 10% down and no PMI are now at 2.8%! It looks like they will continue to stay low until we see the outcome of the election, and as the country re-opens. It's a great time to build a home! I do not know of any banks that will accept an application for a mortgage and give a rate lock unless you have a set of home plans and a contract with a builder. Present your plans and contract to the bank and you will lock in at that day's rate. The planning portion is easy without a huge outlay of money.

We install blocking in between wall studs behind kitchen cabinets and other hanging cabinets. This allows us to securely fasten wall cabinets to walls and each other. Each bedroom is wired for fan ceiling light and fan - not just a switched outlet. Whether you install a ceiling fan at the time of the build or not, you will have the option to do so in the future. You may also choose two other locations in your home for ceiling fans, which will include wiring and installation. Fans and lights are wired to be controlled by wall switches but can be remotely controlled if the fan you select provides for it.
