DeBuck Sod Farm

We provide sod to landscapers, contractors, athletic stadiums, nursery centers, golf courses, as well as directly to homeowners. Our fleet of trucks can deliver to your home or job-site with a handy piggyback forklift or you can pick up at our sod farm in Davison Michigan. In addition to premium Kentucky Bluegrass sod, we also grow several specialty turf grasses. With DeBuck's Fine Fescue, Tall Fescue, and Holiday Lawn Kentucky Bluegrass sods there is instant grass for all landscapes or to meet any specification.

We start prepping our ground for seeding in June and July. This involves tillage, to reduce compaction; leveling, to create a flat, harvestable surface; and debris removal. At the beginning of August, we finalize seed prep with a fine rake too for a smooth soil surface, and apply a pre-plant fertilizer application. Next, we use a Brillion seeder and double plant for even coverage, and cultipack to firm the seed bed and help retain moisture. We also apply a pre-emergent herbicide to reduce weeds.
