KC Plumber Pro is a small company that is owned and operated by a licensed master plumber. We take a great deal of pride in our work and strive to earn the long term business of each new client. Our main focus is serving the needs of residential clients throughout Johnson County and Kansas City. Instead of focusing on commercial plumbing or new houses, we focus on service work. We enjoy opportunity to work with new clients and build new relationships. We do a lot of work in the newer homes which luckily doesn't involve drains too often.

Most people don't know exactly who to call when they need a gas line installed for a new appliance. Not all licensed plumbers are certified to install or service gas lines. KC Plumber Pro holds a license for both plumbing and gas installations. Before you can add a gas line to your home you first must determine if your house can support the demand of the additional appliance. There are three variables that you must consider when determining gas demand and production. The incoming pressure of the gas is the first thing to consider.

The in-sink-erator Pro 750 is designed to fit in the tightest spaces. This premium garbage disposal is powered by a 3/4 hp motor and comes with 2 stages of grinding power. The In-Sink-Erator Pro 800 is the next step up in the ultimate line of professional garbage disposals. This unit features a 7/8 hp motor and also comes with 2 stages of grinding performance. This unit also features an anti-microbal baffle to keep your family safe from food bourn illness. This unit also comes with an auto reverse feature.

In case of an emergency it is good to have a quality plumber on hand that can quickly respond to your problem. In many cases a plumbing emergency is something that needs to be resolved immediately. Going without running water for ever a day is a huge distraction for any homeowner to deal with. KC Plumber Pro is prompt in handling all plumbing request, especially those that need immediate attention. We will send a qualified technician to troubleshoot your problem and prepare an estimate to complete the plumbing repairs.

A water heater should be installed in accordance with local building codes in order to ensure the water heater last as long as possible. Many cities such as Overland Park, require expansion tanks to be installed on all closed loop systems. We believe that Bradford White makes the best water heaters on the market. A convention 40 gallon water heater is the most economical way to product hot water. Tankless units take up less space and consume less energy, however the installation cost is generally 3.5 x greater.

If you are experiencing trouble with your garbage disposal there are a couple of tricks that you can first try. The first step is to make sure you have power to the outlet, some of the outlets for garbage disposals have gfi's that may need to be reset. One last think to try may require a special tool such as a garbage disposal wrench or even an allen wrench could work. There is a nut that is located on the bottom of the garbage disposal that will allow you to rotate the blade for the unit. If your unit seems to be jammed, this is the best way to free the unit without putting yourself in danger.

For many homes throughout Kansas City it may be necessary to clear the main sewer line of roots that make their way through the line. Sewer backups can cause damage to your basement and also contaminate storm sewer water and cost the water district lots of money. For many homeowners you may be unsure if your sewer needs to be replaced or it's just stopped up. We can inspect your sewer with our sewer camera to provide a thorough inspection and give you honest feedback as to the pros and cons on replacing your sewer.

We service the entire Kansas City area for most projects. On the larger jobs such as running a gas line or installing a water heater we are able to service both Kansas and Missouri. We can also handle your smaller jobs like adding a new sump pump and changing out the old garbage disposal. Scheduling out service for a next week prior can help with our plumbers busy schedule. As a one man shop it makes appointments run a little smoother when they are scheduled. We understand that many of your plumbing projects will need to be done right away and can usually get to these calls the same day or the next.

As a plumber I am often called out for a major plumbing repair such as replacing a hot water heater or even installing a water softener. After completing the initial project that prompted the call the client will often ask our plumbers to take a look at another issue that they have been dealing. There is one toilet that stands out as being the top of the line most powerful flushing toilet on the market. It is much more expensive when you compare the initial cost of this compared to a cheaper toilet.

If you browse our site you will see that in the past we had recommended the installation of a backup sump pump. After years in the industry and having increased experience in walking into a flooded basement we have changed our opinion of backup sump pumps. Sump Pump replacement is one of them most common services that we perform at KC Plumber Pro. Like many plumbers we had gotten to the point where it's a little overwhelmed trying to discuss all the different types of pumps, backup pumps, and accessories that are available on the market today.

If you are planning to purchase a new home it's a good idea to have your sewer inspected by a plumber. A video inspection is especially important in homes that were built before the 1970's. Homes built in this time period will usually have a clay or cast iron sewer line. These older sewers often can have issues with root intrusion and will sometimes require yearly cleaning of the line. We can provide you with a copy of the video and GPS locating services. This can be useful if you had any future excavation or basement remodeling projects down the road.

For many homes in Overland Park the sump pump is an important part of keeping your finished basement dry. The sump pump should be inspected on a regular basis to ensure that the pump will be working when you need it. The best sump pump is one that doesn't have to run very often or even at all. If your sump pump runs excessively you should start to look at exterior factors that may need to be addressed. Most of the water that feeds into a sump pit feeds from the water that is not draining away from the house.

I am so impressed by the professionalism and courtesy displayed. Fair pricing, and respect make these guys stand out from the crowd.

Called Chase at 7:00 a.m. this morning about water in the basement and sump pump not working. He said he had another job in front and would be there.

We found a squirrel in the flue of this old water heater. It actually crawled down from the chimney flue and made it's way down to the water heater where it sadly died.
