Beginning in 3, Fine Earth, LLC, in partnership with the Shenandoah Valley Builders Association, began a program aimed at providing the community with lasting improvements to selected sites in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, Virginia; custom plantings of selected trees in carefully targeted locations, and a special Arbor Day program for area children. The new campus received a custom planting of over thirty carefully selected trees valued at $13,000. In Broadway, a barren corner wrapped around a drainage ditch at the town's Eastern entrance was transformed into a flowering attraction.
Each year Fine Earth, in cooperation with the Shenandoah Valley Builders Association, selects a site within the Harrisonburg-Rockingham community for a special Arbor Day gift. The supporting sponsors for 2011 were: Valley Renovators, Irriturf, and Layman & Nichols P.C. This year, the choice of gift sites was easy.
