Dearness Gardens Nursery and Landscaping is located Huntersville, North Carolina, just north of Charlotte. Established in 1995, Dearness Gardens occupies 3 acres on a rustic 1920's farmstead in the heart of downtown Huntersville. We are well-known for our impressive selection of Japanese Maples & unusual conifers; tried-and-true garden favorites as well as new and trendy plant selections; and we are a destination for highly sought-after Southeastern native trees, shrubs, and perennials. Our business was originally opened with the intention of creating an independent, family-owned destination garden center with character and quaint charm (that certain corporate garden centers lack) and a staff of enthusiastic and knowledgeable plant geeks.

Dearness Gardens Nursery and Landscape Center has a great selection of trees and shrubs for your landscape! From annuals to perennials, we have what you need for a rich and colorful garden that will attract the birds and butterflies. Trees are the biggest investment you will make in your landscape, and therefore need to be chosen with care and planted correctly. Consider the usage-do you want to screen a neighbor's house, provide shade in summer, add winter interest, or have a long bloom time? Is the site wet or dry, is it in full sun or very shady?

When you are looking for just the right landscaping to enhance the exterior of your home or business, call Dearness Gardens Nursery and Landscaping. We can convert any lawn or garden space into a pleasing and aesthetic masterpiece. We have the skills to beautify the outdoors where you live and work, making the most of what nature has to offer. Whether you are interested in a simple landscape design with plantings to welcome guests, or a more lasting hardscape design, Dearness Gardens Nursery and Landscaping can make your ideas become reality.

My first and favorite place to go for plants! Can always find something unique!

This place was awesome! Great customer service and a beautiful nursery! Kinda like heaven on earth.

A traffic shutdown on 77 N prompted me to find alternative ways to get home from SouthPark to Mooresville. After 2 hours of sitting and then moving single digits of mph, I found myself sitting opposite the parking lot of Dearness, and gazing and waves of green and purple and just about every aesthetically pleasing color found in nature. I made a sharp left turn and made a pitstop for a serenity fix. I saw trees I had never seen (that I just HAD to buy), got ideas for succession planting, and found a peace well beyond my expectations. That pitstop continues 4 years later (though mainly without the traffic congestion prompt, thank heavens). Whether you need a specific tree, shrub or houseplant, planting advice, inspiration for your home, or just a "serenity fix", a stroll through the grounds and buildings of Dearness Gardens will delight and inspire you.
