When you install adapter curbs, welded RTU (rooftop unit) curbs or equipment supports for your rooftop HVAC package unit, going with the wrong curb adapter company can cost you big money, and time. The slightest inefficiency or mismatch in design or engineering can create blow-back resistance that can wear down your climate control fan parts and cause your equipment to waste costly energy. That's why you need to go with a real pro - a curb adapter company with the track record and expertise to create perfectly customized products for your individual RTU system.
Our story begins in 1977, when Spring Branch Sheet Metal (SBSM) opened its doors as a Houston-based producer of all kinds of sheet metal products, from decorative awnings to kitchen hoods, before finally finding its true niche in roof curb space. In those days, if you wanted to swap out an old rooftop HVAC package unit for a new model, the difference in supply and return opening placement required a crew to rip out the old roof curb entirely and perform the new installation from scratch. The resulting contractor, roofer and crane labor time was a huge hassle, not to mention expensive - until we came along.
The FMS requires a Curbco agent to meet with a technician on the job site and measure the curb(s) for a cost of $150+. This service can take up to a week to coordinate. The VMS is simpler to coordinate, can be done anywhere with a phone and a camera. The cost for the VMS is $47. Please select the service that fits your situation best. If the total above is an estimate, it is not a quote for the cost to provide this service. The price could change depending on travel and complexity of the job. Once a Curbco rep has contacted the in-field contact and better understands the scope of the work to be performed, they can provide a more accurate estimation of cost.
