PRIMROSE ANTIQUES & GIFTS Celebrating cultures and seasonal traditions across the globe "Joy to the World!" CHRISTIANSON'S NEWSLETTER Be part of our newsletter community! Christianson's Nursery continues to use protective measures as recommended by the CDC to "flatten the curve, " including in-store retail being limited to 25%, social distancing, hand washing, and wearing face masks. In accordance with the most recent WA State mandate effective 11/16/20, Christianson's is requiring face coverings throughout all open and enclosed areas on nursery grounds, including the Garden Store, Conservatory, and Primrose Antiques & Gifts Shop.

Located in beautiful Skagit Valley, Christianson's Nursery offers a wide variety of common and uncommon plants, garden accessories, antique & gifts, and the largest selection of roses and perennials in Northwest Washington. Whether you are looking for deer-resistant plants, guidance on gardening and plant care through the seasons in the Pacific Northwest, or just in need of horticultural therapy, you can depend on Christianson's Nursery for choosing the right plants and expert advice. Many of our staff specialists are certified as professional Horticulturists who can answer your questions about roses, perennials, rhododendrons, hardy tropicals, trees, shrubs, flowering bulbs, and herbaceous plants.

Have you ever admired a plant and secretly taken home a snippet only to have it wither and die a week later? A number of perennials can be propagated if you follow the proper methods. In this highly attended class, Christianson's staff member, Becky Paulik guides you through stem, root, and leaf cuttings, divisions, and the intricacies of seeding perennials. Learn to use the correct tools and proven techniques for successful perennial propagation. Fruit trees need pruning for two primary purposes: to provide structure and to allow light channels throughout the tree so that fruit can mature properly.

We can't say enough good things about this species of fern; its low maintenance requirements are perfect for those who tend to neglect their plants and its ability to thrive in low lit areas of your home, such as a living room, is aesthetically satisfying. Phlebodium aureum has been named and renamed over time. You may know it commonly as Blue Star Fern, Aureum gold-although there's nothing gold about it-or by its larger species name, Polypodium. Phlebodium aureum is an epiphytic fern or a fern that grows on the surface of a host and derives its moisture and nutrients from the air, rain, water, or from the debris around it.

My family and I just love this place. Great prices. My girls love the hummingbirds.

After running my own retail store for 18 years & working in retail/ nurseries for 7 more beyond that. I know how hard it is to keep a place like this up. I'm always impressed with how they can keep it all going each time I come back. Well done Christianson's! You are my favorite nursery in the PNW bar none!
