Old Growth Riverwood uses recovered wood, harvested locally from the Cape Fear River, as well as reclaimed wood from old barns and buildings. Our countertops and furniture are friendly to the environment and made in the U.S.A. By using reclaimed wood in our products, they come with a maturity that would otherwise take years to form.
Old Growth Riverwood began in July 2007 as a dream business for Chris and Terrie Metz. A family owned and operated business, they recover and process reclaimed wood near downtown Wilmington in North Carolina. The day-to-day operations at Old Growth Riverwood are done by the owners and their few employees. At Old Growth Riverwood, we reclaim lost pieces of history and transform them into unique and beautiful wood products for your home or business. We process logs that we recover from the Cape Fear River as well as reclaimed beams from historic structures from the surrounding area.
