Engineered Wood Flooring isproduced by laminating several hardwood layers together to form the wood planks. Most engineered floors can be glued down, stapled, or floated over a variety of sub-floors including wood, dry concrete slabs, and some types of existing flooring. Engineered hardwood floors have cross-ply construction which reduces the expansion and contraction of wood planks caused by variations in humidity and allows these floors to be installed on any level in your home. Engineered floors are available in plank and long-strip formats.
