From our modest beginnings in an office above a Dairy Queen, Karpinski Engineering has grown into an award-winning engineering firm that works alongside world-class institutions and architectural firms. While working on a project late into the night, two junior partners at a local engineering firm decided it was time to strike out on their own. They knew they could do better for their clients. In the summer of 1983, they opened the firm (then called Bacik Karpinski Associates) with three employees in an office above a Dairy Queen.
Mechanical associate Doug Barnes is a Cubmaster who teaches first aid and safety. When Doug injured himself in an accident, his son Joey put those skills into action. Joey received a prestigious scouting award for helping save his dad's life. Congratulations , Joey!
