Larry Young had the privilege of working for his father, Wilbur W. Young, who was a well-respected home builder in Kansas City. Larry began working as a laborer and worked his way up to an Apprentice Carpenter and eventually a Master Carpenter running his own rough-in crew and trim crew. Larry began his own business in 1979 remodeling and building upper-bracket homes in the Kansas City area. In 1996, he decided to focus on wood rot and remodeling. Larry Young has been an Honor Roll member of the Better Business Bureau since 1998 providing the highest quality of work.

Custom wood pieces were made and designed to restore the windows back to their original construction and beauty. Larry Young Wood Rot was contracted to preserve and repair a historical building that was setting the Hyde Park district of Kansas City in 2010. When we started the project, the windows had severe damage to the frame and structure. The previous tenant had destroyed the integrity of the windows by installing window air conditioners.
